How Endeavor Miami Is Helping Shape South Florida’s Innovation Economy
Over the past decade, Endeavor Miami has emerged as one of the most influential organizations in South Florida’s startup and innovation ecosystem. What began as the first U.S. affiliate of the global Endeavor network has evolved into a powerful connector between entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, and innovation leaders across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
Today, Endeavor Miami is helping position South Florida not simply as an emerging tech scene, but as a globally connected region capable of building and scaling high-impact companies.
Founded in 2013 with support from the Knight Foundation, Endeavor Miami was launched to support entrepreneurs with the greatest potential for economic impact. Its mission centers around identifying founders who can scale rapidly, create jobs, and ultimately “pay it forward” by mentoring and investing in future generations of entrepreneurs.
Unlike traditional incubators or coworking spaces, Endeavor focuses specifically on high-growth companies and scale-stage founders. Through mentorship, investor access, strategic guidance, and global networking opportunities, the organization helps entrepreneurs accelerate growth while connecting them to a worldwide network of business leaders and innovators.
Strengthening the Broader South Florida Ecosystem
That model has produced measurable regional impact. According to Endeavor Miami, the organization’s entrepreneurs generated approximately $980 million in revenue in 2024 and supported more than 7,000 jobs across Florida.
But perhaps more important than the numbers is the role Endeavor Miami plays as a bridge-builder throughout South Florida’s broader ecosystem.
Historically, South Florida’s innovation community has often been fragmented geographically, with Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach operating in separate silos. Endeavor Miami has increasingly helped unify those ecosystems by creating cross-county relationships between founders, investors, universities, economic development organizations, and corporate leaders.
The organization has expanded its footprint well beyond Miami through partnerships and founder programs across the tri-county region, including collaborations with regional nonprofit organizations, incubators and accelerators such as The Runway at Florida Atlantic University, part of FAU’s Entrepreneurship Institute, and other entrepreneurship-focused institutions. These collaborations help create stronger pathways for startup growth, mentorship, talent development, and regional connectivity.
Endeavor Summit 2026 Brings Global Attention to Miami
That regional impact was on full display during the recent Endeavor Summit 2026, held on April 22 in Miami Beach.
Hosted at Emmanuel Luxury Venue in South Beach, the invitation-only conference brought together one of the most globally diverse gatherings of entrepreneurs in Miami to date. The event featured representation from 10 Endeavor offices, nearly 70 Endeavor Entrepreneurs, and participants representing 33 nationalities.
The Summit reinforced Miami’s growing reputation as a global gateway for innovation and entrepreneurship, particularly between the United States, Latin America, and international markets.
This year’s speaker lineup included globally recognized founders and executives such as:
Martín Migoya | CEO and Co Founder of Globant & Chairman of Endeavor Argentina
Hovhannes Avoyan | CEO & Founder at Picsart
Stefan Batory | Cofounder & CEO at Booksy
Dileep Thazhmon | CEO & Founder at Jeeves
Discussions throughout the conference focused on scaling globally, founder resilience, artificial intelligence, fintech innovation, and the evolving role of entrepreneurs as ecosystem builders. More than 200 founders, investors, mentors, and business leaders participated in conversations designed to strengthen trust, collaboration, and long-term relationships.
“Today’s most impactful entrepreneurs are not just scaling companies; they are multiplying their impact elsewhere, bringing knowledge, capital, and determination into new markets”, said Claudia Duran, Regional Managing Director for North America & Managing Director at Endeavor Miami. “What we saw at this Summit is the strength of that global exchange, and Miami’s unique role in connecting founders across regions.”
The “Multiplier Effect” and Why It Matters
One of the Summit’s central themes was what Endeavor calls the “Multiplier Effect,” or the idea that successful entrepreneurs do more than build companies. They reinvest their knowledge, capital, mentorship, and experience back into the communities around them.
That philosophy is particularly important for South Florida.
As the region continues to mature as a technology and innovation hub, one of its biggest needs is the development of stronger founder networks, repeat entrepreneurs, growth-stage capital, and mentorship ecosystems. Organizations like Endeavor Miami help accelerate those dynamics by connecting local founders to global expertise and opportunities.
The Summit also highlighted the increasing institutional support behind South Florida’s innovation economy. Sponsors and supporters included JPMorganChase, Momentum Miami, and Evertec, reflecting growing confidence in the region’s long-term economic and entrepreneurial potential.
“Events like this are critical to Miami’s continued growth,” said Andrew Lane, Florida Market Executive for JPMorganChase’s Innovation Economy business. “We’re proud to support Miami’s startup ecosystem by empowering founders and strengthening networks that foster innovation and job creation. We look forward to the continued collaboration with Endeavor to enhance South Florida’s long-term competitiveness.”
Why Endeavor Miami’s Work Impacts the Entire Region
Events like the Endeavor Summit do more than showcase successful companies. They help elevate South Florida’s visibility on the global stage, attract investment and talent, and strengthen the perception that the region can support sustainable, globally competitive businesses.
For South Florida, that matters.
The region is increasingly competing not only with other U.S. markets, but with innovation ecosystems around the world. Organizations like Endeavor Miami help ensure South Florida remains connected to those global conversations while simultaneously strengthening local collaboration and economic development.
In many ways, Endeavor Miami has become more than a startup support organization. It has become a catalyst for regional growth, entrepreneurial connectivity, and global innovation leadership across South Florida.
