Lamatic AI: The Fort Lauderdale Startup Simplifying AI for the Next Generation of Builders

Located in Fort Lauderdale, Lamatic AI is one of Broward County’s most promising tech startups. It specializes in generative AI infrastructure, aiding developers and small businesses in integrating artificial intelligence into their products efficiently, all without the need of a fully-fledged AI engineering team.

The Founders Behind Lamatic.ai’s Vision

Lamatic.ai was founded by Charles Whiteman and Aman Sharma. Whiteman brought extensive experience in business operations and growth strategy to the table. Before founding this tech startup in Florida, he helped lead projects in the technology sector, gaining first-hand knowledge of how challenging it can be to deploy AI tools in the real world of business.

On the other hand, Sharma boasts a strong background in software engineering and AI infrastructure, enabling him to translate complex machine-learning systems into usable tools for developers. The founders shared a strong belief that AI integration should be accessible to everyone, which drove the project forward.

“While AI engineers were hard to find, I saw a clear shift over the past decade. Artificial intelligence would not remain exclusive to a small group of experts. Technology was becoming more accessible and AI would inevitably reach that same level of openness,” shared Aman Sharma

This tech startup in South Florida began when CEO Whiteman and CTO Sharma were collaborating on a consumer application that utilized AI to automate meal planning. In developing the project, they soon came to the realization that the infrastructure required to make it work was a challenge. After all, they required extensive technical work when it came to connecting data sources, handling APIs, managing prompts, and more.

This revealed challenge sparked an opportunity. They realized that if developers faced the same problems whenever they attempted to add AI features, there was a gap in the market for a platform that would streamline this process. And so, Lamatic.ai was born.

A Platform Built to Remove AI Complexity

Lamatic AI serves as a connective layer between large language models (LLMs), generative AI tools, and everyday business applications, enabling developers to build and deploy AI-powered features without the heavy lift of traditional infrastructure. At its core, the platform offers a visual, low-code to no-code interface where users can design AI workflows and intelligent agents through intuitive, drag-and-drop tools—eliminating the need for complex, custom engineering.

Through Lamatic.ai, developers can seamlessly integrate multiple AI models, securely connect business data, and transform that data into usable context for AI systems. This unlocks a wide range of use cases, from retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and semantic search to internal copilots and fully automated workflows.

Under the hood, the platform is built for both flexibility and performance. It includes features such as a built-in vector database for context retrieval, real-time monitoring and analytics, and robust deployment capabilities powered by serverless, edge-based infrastructure—ensuring low latency and high scalability. For more technical teams, Lamatic.ai also provides SDKs and GraphQL APIs, allowing deeper customization and seamless integration into existing products.

By removing the complexity of AI infrastructure, Lamatic.ai empowers smaller teams to compete with larger, resource-rich organizations. Instead of spending time managing backend systems, developers can focus on what matters most: building innovative, intelligent products faster and more efficiently.

Rapid Traction and National Recognition

Founded in 2023, the two year old startup has already made significant developments, gaining attention in this state and beyond and rasing over $1 million in seed funding

Within mere weeks, the company gained its first clients quickly and built up its expertise and experience from there. It was also selected to present at the TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield in 2024, earning itself national visibility amongst those in the tech field.

It's no surprise that Whiteman and Sharma chose to build Lamatic.ai in Fort Lauderdale with this location boasting fantastic growth potential. Being based in Broward County offers it access to a supportive ecosystem and mentorship programs. It also underlines the change in South Florida’s economy, from tourism to technology and innovation.

“You can build a billion-dollar business from anywhere today, but South Florida offers a unique advantage. So much of our customer base is already here and it’s far easier to build real, meaningful connections. That density matters. It creates momentum,’ Sharma shared.

With experience in Silicon Valley, Aman continued, ”I’d much rather be a big fish in a smaller, fast-growing pond than a small fish in a massive one, the ability to stand out, build relationships, and accelerate growth is significantly greater here.”

What’s Next for Lamatic AI

Looking ahead, Lamatic.ai is poised to continue innovating while expanding its growing team. The company remains focused on improving reliability, strengthening data privacy, and enhancing user experience, key priorities in today’s fast-moving AI landscape.

At the same time, Lamatic.ai has developed an AI agent designed to streamline the home loan approval process, reducing turnaround times from eight days to just ten minutes. This solution highlights the platform’s potential across industries such as banking, legal, and compliance, where integrating AI can significantly improve efficiency and decision-making.

From a go-to-market perspective, the company is taking a scalable, T-shaped approach, going deep within key sectors like banking and legal first, then expanding outward into adjacent industries as it gains traction and expertise.

Lamatic.ai is a new kind of tech startup in South Florida, one that views generative AI as a foundation that any product can utilize. By using its power to lower technical barriers, this company motivates others to innovate their offerings in both a faster and smarter way.
